New parking for Görlitzer Park: The choice is decided!

It was an exciting weekend in the heart of Berlin! The Görlitzer Park finally chose its new parking members after three turbulent days full of voices! On Sunday evening, the highly expected result was announced - an important event for everyone who wants to love and shape the "Görli". A total of 130 committed voters took the chance to give up their vote and influence the future of their beloved park.

The new cast of the parking is impressive! With fresh vigor and innovative ideas, the new members - Emily Bereskin, Lana Briede, Nilgün Cakan, Henri Urban Franke, Jutta Moldenhauer, Martin Storck, Julia Vetter and Christopher Wollin - are represented - the interests of residents and park visitors. They all have the opportunity to actively shape the development of the park and be the voice of the citizens.

The Parkrat has set itself the goal of protecting the diverse needs and concerns of the community in the "Görli". Since his first election in September 2018, he has stood for an open and common cooperation - a real mission statement for the park full of diversity. "Görli for everyone" is the motto that should always be in focus. The park should be a place for everyone in which different cultures and generations harmonize.

Annika Gerold, the city councilor for traffic, green spaces, order and the environment, did not miss the opportunity to congratulate the new parking members personally for election: "I congratulate the new parking members very much on election and thank you for their commitment to their neighborhood. For the next two years I look forward to a constructive cooperation." Clear words that show that the city administration takes the new advocacy of park visitors seriously.
