Multimedia book art work: exhibition highlights in Berlin

New exhibition in the project room in the old fire station: Gerd Sonntag "to Patricia Petibon - Dream Letters from Berlin"

In a new exhibition in the project room in the old fire station, the Berlin artist Gerd Sonntag presents its multimedia book art work "An Patricia Petibon-Dream Briefs from Berlin". Inspired by the French singer Patricia Petibon, three unique sculptural objects that are in the center of the exhibition were created.

In addition to the sculptural works, a selection of the hand-printed pages with drawings and texts from the book can also be seen, complemented by glass sculptures and word pictures.

The exhibition takes place from July 26, 2024 to September 22, 2024 in the project room in the old fire station, located at Marchlewskistrasse 6 in 10243 Berlin.

In addition to the opening of the exhibition on July 25, 2024 at 7 p.m., in which the author and publisher Uwe Warnke will give an introduction, a reading will take place on August 9, 2024 at 8 p.m. The Austrian actor Wolfram Berger will present excerpts from "to Patricia Petibon - Dream Letters from Berlin", as well as texts by well -known authors such as Kurt Schwitters, Ernst Jandl and Karl Valentin.

The exhibition management as part of the art week of the municipal galleries Berlin will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 4 p.m. Curator and publisher Uwe Warnke will lead through the exhibition and give interesting insights into the work of Gerd Sonntag.
