Die Bezirkszentralbibliothek bietet auch in diesem Sommerferien ein breites Programm für Kinder und Jugendliche in Friedrichshain an. Es gibt zahlreiche Workshops und Veranstaltungen, an denen Schüler*innen im Juli und August teilnehmen können. Alle Angebote sind kostenlos und sollen dazu beitragen, dass keine Langeweile aufkommt. There are numerous workshops and events in which students can take part in July and August. All offers are free and should help not to get bored. District Mayor Clara Herrmann emphasizes the diversity of the possibilities that the holiday program offers, from letters to gardeners to discussion.

A highlight of the program is the summer vacation book workshop, in which children between 6 and 12 years have the opportunity to write poems, ballads and short stories, to design illustrations and ultimately take their own book home with them. The event "Little Gardeners, Big Stories: Adventure in the Garden" also promises an exciting afternoon full of imagination and gardening for families with children from 5 years.

Furthermore, children from 5 years of age can become creative in “colorful street art” and create works of art together in front of the library. For young people from the age of 12 there is also the event "Our sexy future - how do we want to deal with self -expression and sexuality on the net?", Which deals with the safe use of sexuality in digital space.

For families with children from 5 years, there is the opportunity to design imaginative fruit salads out of clay in the creative workshop or to produce stamps from foam rubber and balloons. Book lovers between the ages of 8 and 12 can also design creative bookmarks and exlibris for their favorite books at a workshop with illustrator Lisa Vasvari.

The extensive program of the Friedrichshain district central library therefore offers a variety of opportunities for children and young people to do creatively and discover new things.
