Lausitzer Platz 6, 10997 Berlin, Deutschland - On June 2, 2025, district mayor Clara Herrmann announced an exciting (e-) bike tour in Kreuzberg, which focuses on fair trade, climate protection and global justice. Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is actively committed to fair and sustainable consumption as well as city-compatible mobility. The district, which is known as the Fairtrade district, has also established itself as a pioneer in Berlin's first pop-up cycle paths. This bike tour is organized in cooperation with Fair Spaces GmbH in order to bring the districts and visitors closer to the district's contributions to the global sustainability goals.

The events take place on several dates, so that interested parties have the opportunity to learn more about fair and sustainably produced products. This includes not only food and fashion, but also bicycles and sporting goods. The tours are scheduled for June 13, July 11, August 22, September 19 and October 17, 2025 and start at 11:30 a.m., except on October 17, where they start at 12:30 p.m. The meeting point is the Baraka restaurant on Lausitzer Platz in Berlin.

focus on sustainability and global goals

The (e-) bike tour is part of the district's commitment to support the 2030 Agenda 2030 of the global community. This agenda, which was adopted in 2015, comprises 17 global sustainability goals (Sustainable Development Goals, SDGS), which aim to combat poverty and the realization of sustainable development by 2030. The goals are far -reaching and concern topics such as gender equality, climate protection, high -quality education and access to clean water. According to the Federal Government, this agenda gives action in the area of sustainability a clear timetable that links social, economic and ecological aspects.

The responsibility of the leading industrialized and emerging countries in the implementation of these goals is particularly emphasized. The G20 countries should play a pioneering role here. The initiatives such as the (e-) bike tour in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg help to raise awareness of sustainable practices and show how local measures can make a contribution to the global agenda. The aim is to enable a decent life and at the same time maintain the natural livelihood of the earth, which is supported by committed projects at the local level.
