A look into the future: exhibition on neighborhood development in Kreuzberg

An exciting time is for everyone who is interested in the development of Franz-Künstler-Strasse! City Councilor Florian Schmidt and the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district office cordially invite you to open an exciting exhibition that deals with the development of the neighborhood in this emerging district.

The past few years have been characterized by a remarkable development: all sub-plots on Franz-Künstler-Straße have been successfully transferred to the ownership of the state-owned housing company Gewobag. But that's just the beginning! A new development plan is already being planned, which is intended to transform this area into a livable home for many people.

planned highlights of the new residential complex

Around 1,000 people, both with and without escape history, should find a new home at the location. 500 apartments are planned that meet modern living requirements. In addition, there will be space for up to 100 daycare places! And that's not all: green and playing areas as well as shopping offers are also planned. A real place to arrive and linger!

But how does this dream become a reality? The exhibition offers comprehensive information about the procedure and the current plans around the new location. Visitors have the opportunity to learn more about the needs and wishes that were explored in advance by various participation formats.

The exhibition remains accessible to the public from October 29 to November 21. Every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., interested parties can experience the current developments up close and ask their questions.
