District office Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg plans to package of measures for more safety and cleanliness

The district office Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg plans a number of new measures to improve security and cleanliness in public space as well as to support homeless and at risk of addiction. A total of 930,000 euros should be made available for this. Among other things, neighborhood runners, neighborhood carpers, a splashing college project and community -related social work are to be introduced. District Mayor Clara Herrmann emphasized the need for social solutions for social problems and sees the measures as urgently necessary. Specifically, the package includes the establishment of community-related social work for homeless people and/or alcohol and drug and drug-consuming people, the expansion of the Kiezhausmeisterei, a spray collecting project as well as increased use of parking and neighborhood runners. The measures are to be implemented primarily in polluted social rooms and in heavily frequented places such as the Görlitzer Park.

One of the planned measures is the community -related social work, which is to be implemented as an outworthy and activating social work in contaminated social spaces. The focus is on homeless people and/or alcohol and drug-consuming people. A similar project by the Fixpunkt e.V. was successfully implemented last year. The neighborhoods should carry out area controls, repairs, repair and cleaning work in public space in order to recognize and remedy abuses at an early stage. The spraying collecting project is planned as a low -threshold employment project for drug -use people in cooperation with the sponsor Fixpunkt gGmbH. On the one hand, it is a day -structuring measure under the guidance of social workers for addicts and, on the other hand, ensures regular inspections and cleaning of particularly stressed locations. In addition, it is planned to strengthen the use of parking and neighborhood runners in order to improve the situation in Görlitzer Park and the adjacent neighborhoods through low-threshold address and the mediation of rules.

These measures show that the district office Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg takes the problem of security and cleanliness seriously in public space and is willing to provide financial resources for solutions. The planned measures are intended to improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods and benefit both the homeless and those at risk of addiction.
