On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 7 p.m., a special reading and discussion round with the author Paula Irmschler will take place in the idyllic garden of the Pablo Neruda district central library in Berlin. The event is moderated by Amina Aziz and offers visitors a unique insight into Paula Irmschler's current book "Everything always because of the time".

The book tells the moving story of Karla, which tries to break away from its past and the associated family conflicts. Karla flees from Leipzig to Cologne to start a new life, but soon she will be confronted with the challenges of growing up, financial difficulties and the question of her future. Between all of these problems, the question arises whether a journey together with their siblings can contribute to the solution.

The author Paula Irmschler, born in Dresden in 1989, has already celebrated great success with her debut novel “Superbusen” and is known for her ingenious observations of social life. With her current work "Everything always because of that time" she again shows her extraordinary talent in telling urgent stories.

The reading and the conversation offer visitors the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Paula Irmschler and to learn more about the background and inspiration for their book.
