Performance bonuses and project promotion for performing arts in Berlin

The Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district plans to use funding of around 70,000 euros in 2024, which are provided by the State of Berlin. These funding should support actors in the field of performing arts for a young audience. Interested parties can submit online applications for performance bonuses and project funding by April 15, 2024.

The program aims to establish and implement theater offers for children and adolescents in the twelve Berlin districts. The funding is intended to improve the supply of theater offers in previously under -supplied social areas and strengthen the existing decentralized structures. Theater, individual artists and freelance groups should be supported by becoming mobile and performing performances.

The performance bonuses (A) promote theater offers for children and adolescents who are organized in under -provisioned social spaces by individual artists or free groups. The decision on the approval of the funding is based on the goals and prerequisites for funding and is based on the recommendations of a jury.

The project promotion for the development of new pieces for performances (B) supports projects of actors in the field of performing arts for a young audience that are implemented in under -supplied social spaces. The funding is a maximum of 5,000 euros per project and year 2024.

The funding is awarded under the reservation of available budget funds. Interested parties can contact Laura Voigt, contact person in the Department of Culture and History. Detailed information on the funding opportunities and application is available online.

It is important to note that both the promotion of performance bonuses and project funding includes an independent five -member jury and requests must be submitted by April 15, 2024. The funding should serve to expand and improve the cultural offer for children and adolescents in Berlin.
