On Wednesday afternoon, September 11, 2024, the women's and equal opportunities officer of the district office invites you to a special city tour of Marzahn. The event, led by Claudia von Gélieu and Trille Schünke von Frauenties, is devoted to the memory and the memory of the women who have persecuted and resisted during the Nazi era.
The tour will take up various points in the Marzahn large settlement, which are reminiscent of the tragic past. Among other things, the artists Ingeborg Hunzinger and Lea Grundig are presented, the works of which represent a testimony of resistance to the National Socialist regime. In addition, in the village of Marzahn, the forced labor is reminded that many women had to do during this dark time.
A special highlight of the city tour are the reports of contemporary witnesses that will share their personal experiences and stories. These authentic stories contribute to giving history to life and giving visitors a direct insight into the life of women in those difficult years.
