Frank Zander and Mayor Wegner: Strong duo for homeless people in Berlin!

On Wednesday, numerous media representatives and spectators gathered in front of the Caritas House on Große Hamburger Straße in Berlin when the well-known entertainer Frank Zander and his son Marcus introduced the newly founded "Frank Zander Foundation". Berlin's ruling mayor Kai Wegner also came to the press conference, who paid additional attention to the event. The foundation aims to further promote social projects and help for the needy and homeless people in the capital.

Especially the street work café "Only home ...", which has supported people with addiction problems since 1997, benefits from the foundation. Zander recently donated 10,000 euros to further expand the facility. At this event, he emphasized how important the commitment to the homeless is and that the foundation should help to make the social efforts visible in the long term. Wegner also highlighted the increasing problems of homelessness and addiction, but pointed out a lack of solutions. Zander himself plans to take part in his traditional Christmas party for the homeless in the estrel Hotel this year after he was prevented from health problems last year.
