Food and culture festival: Experience enjoyment and art on Schloßstraße!
On September 20, 2024, Hermann-Ehrens-Platz in Steglitz-Zehlendorf becomes the scene of an exciting event: the "Food and Culture Festival" promises to combine both culinary and culture in a happy setting. In the period from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., visitors can look forward to a festival of the senses, supported by the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Companies as well as a number of partners, including the shopping center, the castle and the boulevard Berlin.
The festival is the result of a creative exchange that began at the center of the center on June 3, 2024. There were 12 different centers in Berlin in Berlin, which are to be supported in the future by special support measures by the Senate. Schloßstraße was highlighted as an important shopping area for the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district. With this event, the focus is to focus on Schloßstraße and both tourists and locals are enthusiastic about the attractiveness of this shopping street.
Various offer on the marketplace
Hermann-Ehrens-Platz, which is usually used as a marketplace, is transformed for the event. The organizers have developed a creative stand concept that stands out significantly from a traditional weekly market. A special attraction are the 15 food trucks, which offer a variety of culinary delights that have not yet been present in this form. No matter whether hearty, sweet or with a sharp kick - every palate gets your money's worth here.
But that's not all! In addition to the culinary delights, numerous cultural stands are offered that have ceramics, unique jewelry and other works of art for sale. Free offers such as caricatures and exciting henna designs provide an eventful time. Among other things, the younger visitors can look forward to the skill of balloon artists and face painting.
To round off the whole thing, a "profit area" is set up, in which attractive prices with a total value of up to € 2,500.00 are raffled off. These prices are sponsored by the local retailers along Schloßstraße and therefore not only offer incentive to visit the festival, but at the same time a way to support the business on site.
The “Food and Culture Festival” not only offers a varied day for visitors, but also an important step towards upgrading Schloßstraße and strengthening inpatient retail. With creative ideas and a wide range, the event will certainly attract many people and promote the connection between culture and enjoyment.
