Airports in Germany look forward to Euro 2024: Arrival of the teams and delegations
In a month, Germany will welcome football fans from all over Europe to the UEFA Euro 2024. The ADV general manager Ralph Beisel has announced that the German airports and the ADV airport association will accompany the UEFA Euro 2024 as a mobility partner. The goal is to enable a pleasant and smooth journey for the guests. The ADV expects a total of 2 million passengers during the tournament period, for whom over 500 additional flights have already been coordinated.
The UEFA Euro 2024 takes place in a total of ten venues, including Berlin, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne/Bonn, Leipzig/Halle, Munich, Münster/Osnabrück and Stuttgart. In addition, six other airports will serve as "Team Base Camp-Airports": Braunschweig/Wolfsburg, Erfurt, Friedrichshafen, Hanover, Paderborn and Nuremberg. The airports at the venues have prepared intensively for the tournament and look forward to receiving the teams and delegations.
Special welcome and information points have been set up for the arrival of the teams. The airports work closely with Euro 2024 GmbH, the cities, the stadium operators, Deutsche Bahn, public transport and many other partners to ensure that the event runs smoothly.
As the contractual partner of the DFB, the airports together with national aviation partners such as German air traffic control, the airport koordinator and the state airfare authorities created framework conditions that meet the requirements of such a large event.
