"Thanks to the Renewable Energy Sergies Act (EEG), we have progressed in the past two decades. Today, solar and wind energy dominate electricity production in Germany! But to achieve the ambitious climate goals by 2045, we need a marketplace that is not only sustainable, but also flexible!" These words from Peter leave no room for doubts when it comes to the need for flexibility at different levels - be it with consumers, storage or producers.

The motto of the future? Flexibility instead of rigidity! The times are over when the energy supply was immobile. The new electricity market must use the features of renewable energies to secure stable and environmentally friendly energy future. Peter emphasizes that taxable power plants have to become active if they are used the most. "We need an environment that fully exploits the strengths of the renewables: bioenergy, hydropower, geothermal energy and innovative technologies such as Power2heat!"
