Film series Insane Human: Focus on Transidentarians - Panel discussion and films in Berlin -Hohenschönhausen
Summer comes to an end, but cultural life in Berlin continues to bloom. The long -standing film series "Insane human" returns with a fascinating selection of films about mental health. On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the focus will be on the topic of "transidentities".
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Cinemotion Kino at Wartenberger Straße 174 in 13051 Berlin-Hohenschönhausen. The film “20,000 types of bees” by Estibaliz Urresola Solaguren is shown without an advertising interruption, followed by a panel discussion about gender identity and social norms. Experienced guests will report on their personal experiences, support and advise people in this context, as well as give insights into self -help groups, therapies and medical support.
dr. Catrin Gocksch, district councilor for social issues, work, health and civil services, emphasizes the importance of the film series. Despite four films already shown this year, she also promises the guests exciting entertainment and outstanding panel guests for the upcoming evenings.
The series continues with the following films: On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, "Auf der Adamant" by Nicolas Philibert will illuminate the everyday life of a day clinic, followed by "Ex Machina" by Alex Garland on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, which deals with the "consciousness" of artificial intelligence.
This unique film series is a cooperation between different partners, including the Lichtenberg district office, the municipal psychiatric network of Lichtenberg (GPV), the cinema cinemotion, the state association of mentally ill people Berlin e.V., the association Expeerieced - experienced with mental crises e.V. and the Queen Elisabeth Herzberge and other volunteers. Thanks to the financial support of the Lichtenberg district office, a cinema ticket only costs 6 euros because each guest receives a grant of 1.50 euros.
