The importance of youth, culture and school
The first exhibition, which can be seen until the end of August, is dedicated to the specialist day "Cooperation (s) in social areas between youth, culture and school". In the 1st floor of the town hall, visitors can marvel at the inside of the room in front of the rooms 109 to 117 fascinating drawings and photographs that hold onto the diverse interactions, workshops and discussions on the specialist day. These works were created by the artists: Inside Anika Schröck, Sebastian Lang (Graphic Recording) and Lena Leuschner (photography). The exhibition was organized by the coordination of cultural education in Pankow, a pilot project by the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family. Your task is to network and support the actor: in the area of cultural education.
100 years of youth welfare: a trip through history
The second exhibition, which can be seen until the end of December, celebrates the celebrations "100 years of youth welfare offices". The youth welfare office Pankow presents the exhibition "Departure and Reforms. Pioneers of modern social work in Prenzlauer Berg during the Weimar Republic" on three floors in the Weißensee town hall. As over 100 years ago, on April 1st, 1924, the exhibition shows the Reichs Act on Youth Welfare and created a new legal basis for the work of the youth welfare offices. The pioneering spirit of the employees in Prenzlauer Berg was built up modern social work in the field of youth care and youth welfare during the Weimar Republic.
