Ex-football star o.J. Simpson died at the age of 76!
The former football star o.J. Simpson died of cancer at the age of 76. He was born on July 9, 1947 in San Francisco and gained recognition for his sporting performance at the San Francisco 49ers and the Buffalo Bill during his career. After retiring from the professional sport, he worked in films, television series and as a sports commentator.
The year 1994 marked a turning point in Simpson's life when his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman were murdered in Los Angeles. Simpson was arrested with the police after a live chase broadcast on television. Although he was acquitted in a much -noticed process in 1995, he was blamed for the death of the two victims in a civil proceedings and sentenced to a high compensation.
In a further incident in 2008, Simpson was sentenced to a long -term prison sentence for armed robbery and assault in Nevada. He was released from prison early in 2017 and has lived in Las Vegas since then. Simpson leaves five children from two marriages and is remembered by his family.
