Summer tour of the EVG chairman 2024: Martin Burkert in Lower Saxony
The EVG chairman, Martin Burkert, continues his summer tour and this time he visits various places in Lower Saxony. On this tour it goes from place to place by train and bicycle to explore the working conditions and needs of the railroad employees.
The tour starts on Monday, August 12th, in Braunschweig. The day begins at 12 p.m. at the main train station, where Martin Burkert visits the workshops of DB Cargo and DB Regio. Then there is a grill at DB Infrago to get into conversation with the employees.
on Tuesday, August 13th, we continue to Hanover. The start is at 9:30 a.m. at the Linden-Fischerhof S-Bahn station. From there, Burkert goes on a bike tour to the Seelze marshalling yard. Then he drives to Leinhausen to visit the DB machine pool.
On Wednesday, August 14th, Uelzen is on the program. The tour starts at 9 a.m. at Bad Bevensen station. From there, Martin Burkert goes on a bike tour to Uelzen. There he visits the Braunschweig regional bus and the East Heide Railway (OHE).
On Thursday, August 15th, the tour leads to Minden. The start is at 9 a.m. at Minden train station. Burkert goes on a bike tour to the Minden shaft and Weser lock. Then there is a festival at DB Systemtechnik in Pionierstraße, in which the employees of the EVG meet.
On Friday, August 16, the tour ends in Osnabrück. The day begins at 9 a.m. at DB Infrago at Schinkelstraße 33. From there, the journey continues to the signal box of DB Infrago and then to the workshop of the Northwest Railway.
In the last week of August, Martin Burkert will tour Saxony to hear the concerns of the railroad employees there and to work for their interests.
