The German youth fire brigade groups achieved impressive successes at the 24th International Youth Fire Brigade World Cup in Borgo Valsugana in Trentino, Italy. 60 groups from 22 nations took part in the competition, including the girls' team of the Oberneukirchen youth fire brigade from Bavaria, the youth fire brigade Kummer from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the youth fire brigade Magdeburg-Olvenstedt from Saxony-Anhalt.
Team Magdeburg-Olvenstedt achieved an excellent 14th place in the overall ranking and the 12th place mixed in the individual ranking. Kummer landed in 20th place in the overall ranking and in the individual ranking in 15th place. Oberneukirchen achieved a respectable 21st place in the overall ranking and was able to take the impressive 6th place in the individual ranking.
The three youth fire brigades showed enormous dedication and improved from training to training. Only a few centimeters separated them from an error -free performance in all six rounds, as Federal Youth Leader Christian Patzelt said. The youngsters, their youth leaders and fans represented team Germany fantastically.
The title of the new world champion went to the youth fire brigade team Guggenberg from Austria, followed by Poland in second place. The Czech Republic fought third place and also won the girl's rating. Poland took second place in the girls' ranking while Italy reached third place.
