New era for the Prussian Foundation: Marion Ackermann appointed President
The Foundation Prussian Cultural Ownership, Germany's largest cultural institution, faces a change. According to a decision by the Board of Trustees, Marion Ackermann becomes the new President of the Foundation, which has fifteen collections of the State Museums Berlin and other important cultural institutions. This decision was made under the direction of Minister of Culture Claudia Roth, who held the chair of the Council.
Marion Ackermann, an experienced and renowned cultural manager, will take over the management of the foundation and is faced with the challenge of further promoting the reform process within the institution. This process was initiated under the previous President Parzinger and aims to give the directors of the museums more autonomy in the budget and personnel management.
The Prussian cultural property Foundation has an annual budget of around 400 million euros, of which the federal government finances the majority. In addition to state subsidies, the foundation also helps to maintain and develop its diverse cultural institutions through its own income and third -party funds.
The appointment of Marion Ackermann as President thus marks the beginning of a new era for the Prussian Foundation, in which the importance of culture is further strengthened for the cultural heritage of Germany. With her many years of experience and expertise, Marion Ackermann will help to direct the foundation in a successful and future -oriented direction.
