Discover the green learning places in Steglitz-Zehlendorf: Card now available
A new online map was recently presented in the idyllic domain of Dahlem, which depicts more than 600 green learning places in Berlin and Steglitz-Zehlendorf. This card, which can be found under a corresponding website, offers users the opportunity to discover the variety of educational offers that are available in the green oases of the city. Urban Aykal, the district councilor for order, environmental and nature conservation, had their say at the event and praised the domain not only as an attractive place to learn, but also as a family excursion destination, which reflects the close connection between nature and education in the district.
This innovation is intended to address numerous groups who are looking for appealing leisure and educational offers. Judith Hübner from the Naturstadt.Berlin network emphasizes that the card is a valuable resource for schools, families and volunteers. She explains: "Anyone who wants to enrich the lessons through excursions to green learning locations or are looking for a weekend trip as a family will find useful information here."
diverse offers for all
In addition to schools and families, people who want to get involved in community gardens could also benefit from the new map. Hübner pointed out that not all educational providers are immediately visible. Some are heavily frequented, while others are less known. "The card will help to find providers and interested parties better," she added.
The card itself is extremely user -friendly and offers detailed information about any location, such as opening hours, educational programs and contact information. This makes it easier to find suitable offers for every interest and age group.
This initiative could be an important step in the right direction to promote nature education in urban spaces and to bring people closer to the beauty and the advantages of learning in nature. The commitment to make such learning locations more accessible could lead to growing awareness of environmental issues and sustainable practices.
