Invitation to the information evening: new ways and relaxation rooms in the green Ring Spandau

New concept for the participation of the community in the municipal green project

The city of Spandau has recently announced a public information evening to inform the residents of the northern Rieselfeld gross grave (NRA) and the long pelvis about the planned urban green project. This start marks the beginning of a broad participation of the community, which will continue until October. The main goal is to transform the two green areas into public ways or recreation rooms.

City Councilor Schatz explains:
"After a first citizen participation in 2020, the city of Spandau would now like to continue to inform about the planned measures. Together with the commissioned planners, the upcoming construction projects are presented. In addition, further workshops are planned for late summer."

The green ring project in the districts of Staaken and Wilhelmstadt is a central component of the urban development area Brunsbütteler Damm / Heerstraße (sustainable renewal program). The overarching goal is to complete the green ring with a total length of 5.7 km and to make it accessible to all citizens. Three sub -projects are currently being planned: the establishment of a children's playground on the long pool in the area of ​​the southern meadows to the Weinmeisterhornweg, the expansion of the path on the NRA and the connection of the long basin to the adjacent sections of the green ring.
