Dresden and Leipzig: Top rankings for the best inner cities in Germany!

Dresden, Deutschland - Dresden and Leipzig shine in the latest “Germany study inner city 2024” and secure places six and seven in the top ten of the most attractive city centers in Germany! Particularly impressive: the 15- to 19-year-olds evaluate the Saxon metropolises almost as high as Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt. The survey carried out in June and July 2024 shows that Hamburg and Munich take the top positions, whereby Hamburg improved the leadership from second place to one.

The study created by CIMA Advice + Management GmbH not only evaluates the shopping opportunities, but also the green proposals, local transport, urban design, gastronomic diversity, fitness offers and the "promenade" of the city centers. Corinne Miseer, Managing Director of Dresden Marketing, is pleased with the ranking and confirms the strategy of positioning Dresden as one of Germany's most attractive inner cities. The Dresden CityManager Oliver Neißner also emphasizes that the results underline the importance of a diverse retail and a flourishing gastronomy for a living city center.
