Today, filming the 17th season of the popular songwriting competition "Dein Song" in Biebrich Castle in Wiesbaden begins. This year, a total of 13 young songwriting talents aged twelve to 17 years old with their self-written songs. Your goal is to convince the prominent jury with its expressive melodies, innovative song ideas and original texts.

The Singer songwriter Kelvin Jones and Alina Süggeler from Frida Gold, as well as Mieze Katz, belong to the occupied jury. The newly formed trio is looking forward to exciting talents and expects surprises: "We are looking forward to the creative ideas of the young songwriters and are sure that the show has developed," said Mieze Katz.

the new season is moderated by none other than the talented singer and TV star Luca Hänni. Hänni, who already participated in the past two seasons as a jury member, will now be a moderator in front of the camera for the first time. At his side, Jeannie Wagner will put new impulses in the "Your Song" cosmos. The 25-year-old will not only be a co-moderator, but also appear as a host on the official "Your Song" Instagram and-Tektok Channel.

The songwriting talents have the opportunity to present their skills at the casting in Wiesbaden. The best ten compositions are then invited to the songwriting camp in the Dutch province of Zeeland, where they work on their songs together with the "Your Song" band. After that, the seven best talents continue to the Balearic Island Ibiza, where they work on their performance and get to know prominent music sponsors. Finally, they present their finished songs in front of the audience and TV viewers in the big live final show. The audience decides by telephone and online voting who will carry the title "Songwriter or Songwriter of the Year" 2025.

The documentary series will be shown in the spring of 2025 on Kika, Kika.de and in the Kika player as well as in the ZDF media library.

The songwriting competition "Your Song" has established itself as a platform for young talents and enables you to tell touching stories through your own compositions. The format has developed into a renowned range of young media entertainment over the years and is characterized by its sustainable promotion of young talent. The shooting will take place this year in the charming city of Wiesbaden, which is known for its impressive Biebrich Castle. Erfurt has previously served as a location for the songwriting competition.
