The Green Week Berlin 2025: Tradition meets new sustainable trends!
The Green Week in Berlin, the largest and most traditional trade fair for nutrition, agriculture and horticulture, starts on January 17, 2025 and will go on the exhibition center until January 26, 2025. Governing Mayor Kai Wegner emphasized the importance of this event at the opening: "The Green Week is tradition and future - for almost a hundred years an international leading trade fair, which also reflects economic and political developments." A central topic this year is the mouth and claw disease, which has already required protective measures, as reported by the State of Berlin's press and information office. Wegner thanked everyone who helps with crisis management and announced the presentation of the Berlin nutritional strategy.
a varied program
The fair offers visitors an extensive supporting program, including interactive exhibitions and creative workshops that go into the latest trends in the industry. Lars Jaeger, project manager of the Green Week, said: "For ten days we will work for the center of exchange - where experts work on solutions for a sustainable future."
The Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA), which takes place in Citycube Berlin from January 15th to 18th, 2025. There, around 2,000 experts from politics, science and civil society discuss the questions of the future of nutritional certainty. Another highlight is the Berlin Conference of Agriculture on January 18, 2025, at which around 70 Minister of Agriculture from all over the world meets. In addition, Ukraine will be represented by a stand of 500 square meters, which underpins the international importance of this event.
The Green Week also offers many culinary experiences in addition to political and technical highlights: exhibitors invite trade fair visitors to send their taste buds on a journey around the world. Innovative snacks and regional specialties from Germany are on the program as well as sustainable products and workshops on environmentally conscious life. The Re-Ferus Superstore of the Berlin Senate Environmental Administration will address the topics of waste prevention and sustainable consumption after this has already been very well received in the past, as also reported by the Berlin Messe.
