Deutsche Telekom contradicts Höcke: Incorrect statement about Werbeslogan (98 Characters)

Deutsche Telekom has a statement by the AfD politician Björn Höcke about an alleged earlier advertising slogan of the company and examines legal steps. Höcke, top candidate of the AfD for the state election in Thuringia, claimed in a TV duel against the CDU politician Mario Voigt that Telekom had used the sentence "Everything for Germany" as an advertising saying. Telekom rejected this claim to be wrong and announced that it would take legal action.

The sentence "Everything for Germany" cited by Höcke is a forbidden solution of the SA, the paramilitary organization of the NSDAP. Due to the use of this slogan in a speech, Höcke will have to answer for the allegation of using indicators in Halle next week.

Telekom had already taken legal steps against AfD federal spokeswoman Alice Weidel last year, after she had also claimed that the sentence was used in the past by Telekom as an advertising logan. Weidel was asked to refrain from this claim, whereupon she agreed to refrain from doing so in the future.

In the TV duel, Höcke defended his choice of words and stated that he did not know during the speech that it was a SA slogan. He described the sentence as a "common saying". Telekom and other affected people actively defend themselves against the spread of false claims and take legal action to prevent such statements.
