Deutsche Telekom contradicts AfD politician: Everything for Germany was not a advertising slogan

Deutsche Telekom has rejected the statement by the AfD politician Björn Höcke about an alleged earlier advertising saying by the company and examines legal steps. Höcke claimed in a TV duel against the CDU politician Mario Voigt that Telekom used the sentence "Everything for Germany" a few years ago. A company spokesman emphasized that this claim was wrong and that legal steps were checked.

The sentence mentioned is a forbidden solution of the SA, the paramilitary organization of the NSDAP. Due to the use of this slogan in a speech, Höcke will have to answer for the allegation of using indicators in Halle next week.

Telekom had already taken the AfD federal spokeswoman Alice Weidel the previous year, who had made similar claims on the company's promotion of advertising. After request, Weidel agreed to refrain from these claims in the future.

Höcke, who is a history teacher, defended his choice of words in the TV duel with the fact that during his speech he did not know that it was a SA slogan. He described the sentence as a "common saying". However, Telekom remains that its advertising sayings have no connection to forbidden slogans.
