Deutsche Telekom: Höcke lie? Company checks legal steps

Deutsche Telekom contradicted Björn Höcke and examines legal steps against the AfD politician. In a TV duel, Höcke claimed that Telekom had used the sentence "Everything for Germany" as an advertising saying in the past, which Telekom described as wrong. This sentence is a forbidden solution of the SA, the paramilitary organization of the NSDAP. Due to the use of this slogan in a speech, Höcke will be charged with the district court in Halle next week.

Telekom had already taken measures last year when AfD federal spokeswoman Alice Weidel had made similar claims. Telekom asked Weidel to refrain from such statements, whereupon this agreed to refrain from doing so in the future. Höcke defended his choice of words in the TV duel and claimed that at the time of the speech he did not know that it was a SA slogan, since it was supposedly a "common saying".

Telekom remains determined to take untrue claims that the company will bring in connection with banned slogans of the Nazi era. The lawsuit against Höcke because of the use of indicators of constitutional organizations underlines the seriousness with which this matter is dealt with. Telekom spokesman confirmed that they forwarded Höckes to their lawyers and check legal steps.
