German Industrial Course Community Konrad Zuse calls for EUR 950 million in the Federal Budget 2025
ZUE community fights for forward-looking industrial research
The German Industrial Consumption Association Konrad Zzee e.V. (Zuse Community) vehemently is committed to adequate financing of industrial research. In a current appeal, she demands at least 950 million euros in the federal budget 2025 and an annual growth of budget funds by five percent. You can see the planned cuts of the budget as a devastating signal for the innovation system and medium -sized businesses.
According to the present budget draft, the funds for the central innovation program Mittelstand (ZIM) and the industrial community research program (IGP) should decrease from EUR 635.3 million in 2024 to 519.4 million euros in 2025. This corresponds to a minus of 115.9 million euros. For the industrial community research fund (IGF) and the innovation skills for medium-sized companies (Inno-Kom), 253.1 million euros are planned.
However, the Zuse Community emphasizes that these funds were completely inadequate in the past and that the medium-sized economy and its international competitiveness have disadvantaged. Important potential for innovation and transfer has so far remained unused.
Prof. Martin Bastian, President of the Zuse Community, explains: " Reasons for innovations and transfer and thus at the expense of the medium-sized economy, especially in economically difficult times, are completely wrong signal. In the short term, the upcoming federal budget requires needs-based financial support for practical industrial research as well as the determined annual grew up, at least the innovation event on the current, much too small and international To be able to hold the competitiveness of the medium -sized business. "
The ZUE community emphasizes the importance of practical industrial research as an important provider of transfer from science into the medium-sized economy. Medium -sized companies play a crucial role for the German economy and largely finances the welfare state. Strengthening innovations in all areas of medium -sized companies is therefore essential to boost growth and increase international competitiveness.
The ZUE community continues to be committed to at least maintaining the state of industrial research in Germany and at the same time supporting medium-sized companies. It demands financial support of at least 950 million euros in the Federal Budget 2025 and an annual growth of budget funds by five percent.
