Moritz then starts looking for new experiences and drifts through the diverse Berlin scene, from sex dates to techno clubs to community. Already at the Berlinale 2023 it became clear that "Driftter" is considered the Berlin film of the year. The film starts in the cinema on November 2 and promises an urgent representation of the attitude to life in the German capital.

The main actor Lorenz Hochhuth and director Hannes Hirsch gave further insights into the creation of the film in an interview. They explained that the choice of the title "Drift" was deliberately chosen to symbolize the journey and experience of the main character in Berlin.
