In cooperation with Constantin Film and Seven Elephants, he would like to bring the award -winning novel Athos 2643 from Nils Westerboer to the cinema screen. Wnendt not only takes over the direction, but also writes the script. The result promises to become an emotional and spectacular experience that takes the audience into the vastness of space.
athos 2643, also described as "the name of the rose in space", plays in a distant future on the lonely Neptunmond Athos. In a monastery on this remote lunar station, a mysterious crime happens: an artificial intelligence that is responsible for life preserving is suspected of murder. An Inquisitor specializing in artificial intelligence is sent to solve the enigmatic case.
The film Athos 2643 will contain interesting sci-fi elements and at the same time tell a moving love story between the Inquisitor and his AI assistant. Wnendt's work combines futuristic technology with the archaic life of the monks and raises profound philosophical questions. The aim is to create a gripping and visually impressive world that stimulates thinking and shows that love and humanity can survive even in the most remote angles of the universe.
