DAK -Gesundheit publishes quality transparency report 2024 - insights into customer service, services and digitization
New report of DAK health gives an insight into the quality of care of 2023
DAK health, one of the largest health insurance companies in Germany, has published its latest quality transparency report for 2024. In the 72-page report, important key figures on quality and quantity of care are presented transparently. This focus on transparency is particularly important in times of uncertainty and the many imponderables.
The report deals with various areas, including customer service, services, digitization and research. In 2023, 11.8 million applications and invoices were submitted to care services in DAK health alone, with 99.5 percent of the applications approved. In addition, almost 2.4 million customers received active advice on offers and health insurance services.
Andreas Storm, CEO of DAK health, emphasizes the importance of the report: "With our quality transparency report, we make our work public and comparable on the basis of concrete data. We provide an overview of all services that our customers in 2023 most asked.
The quality transparency report is responsible for the DAK health, the Chief Customer Officer (CCO). She emphasizes the health insurance customer centering and mentions that in 2023 almost 2.4 million insured persons were actively offered and advised. This corresponds to an increase of 775,000 contacts compared to the previous year. In addition, 11.8 million applications, invoices and measures in the area of care were processed, which corresponds to an increase of over one million compared to 2022. 99.5 percent of these applications were approved.
A special focus of the report is on the transparency of the DAK health services. In addition to graphically prepared representations, there are also statistics on the applications that show which percentage approved and which has been rejected. This enables the performance processes that are precisely understandable.
In addition, the report is devoted to research and digitization. Detailed insights into the further development of the digital offers of DAK health are given, such as the DAK app. In 2023, over 630,000 insured persons used the app to submit invoices, to manage the bonus program or to view sick reports. The app received almost 730,000 positive comments in the app stores from Apple and Google.
With the publication of the fourth quality transparency report, DAK health is pioneer in a transparency process that is also becoming more important. In particular, the planned health care law (GVSG) in Berlin is intended to further promote the transparency of the care quality of the health insurance companies. The support of the insured by the individual health insurance companies is increasingly coming to the fore.
The quality transparency report 2024 gives all interested parties, both insured and experts from the healthcare system, the opportunity to understand the processes of DAK health. The report is available for download on the DAK health website.
