City cycles 2023: Berliners cycling for the climate, city and health
Summer is just around the corner and for many Berliners this means that it is time to get the bike out of the basement and climb up. From May 30th to June 19, 2023, the residents of Berlin have the opportunity to participate in the international city cycling campaign. The goal of this campaign is to cover as many everyday paths as possible by bike, be it on the way to work, for shopping or for fitness.
City bikes are organized by the Climate Alliance e.V. and supported in Berlin by the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment. The ADFC Berlin e.V. is also a partner of this campaign. All Berliners who live in the capital, work, belong to an association or attend a school are invited to register and found a team or join an open team.
By participating in the city bike, the Berliners not only make a contribution to climate protection, but can also discover the city in a new way. Cycling also promotes health and can contribute to a more active lifestyle.
In order to register for city cycling and obtaining further information, interested parties can visit the website www.stadtradeln.de/berlin. There you will find all the important information about the campaign and can register. The campaign will certainly attract many participants and fill the streets of Berlin with a flood of cyclists for a few weeks. It remains to be seen how many kilometers are reached by the participants and what positive effect this will have on the environment and health.
In order to document and pursue the performance of the participants, a table could be created in which every participant and every participant's rip -off kilometers are recorded. This could result in healthy competition and the motivation could be increased to cover even more kilometers. It remains exciting how city cycling will develop in Berlin and how many people will work for a more climate -friendly and healthier mobility.
