Spiel sand refreshment: playground closures in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf from March 11, 2024

In the coming weeks, extensive work will be carried out on some playgrounds in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. From Monday, March 11, 2024, more than 300 tons of play sand will be delivered and re -filled on the affected playgrounds. This measure is carried out both machine and manual work, which will lead to temporary closures of the playgrounds.

The work begins on Monday, March 11, 2024 and Tuesday, March 12, 2024, on the playgrounds at Cauerstrasse 19b, Schlüterstraße 42, Wielandstraße 10 and Knesebeckstraße 78. On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, and Thursday, the playgrounds on Ludwigkirchplatz and Schaperstrasse will be processed.

These measures are part of the efforts to maintain the playgrounds in good condition and continue to offer the children a safe and appealing environment for playing. The re -filling of the sand playing areas helps to ensure that the play equipment can be used optimally and the children continue to have fun and enjoy playing.

It is important that residents as well as parents and caregivers of the children are informed about the temporary closures so that they can use alternative playgrounds nearby. The work is expected to be completed within a few days, so that the playgrounds are available again as soon as possible.

The table below gives an overview of the affected playgrounds and the planned appointments for the work:
