As a Berlin citizen and member of the community in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, I find it extremely important that racist structures in our society are recognized and dismantled. Racism has sustainable effects on the lives of many people by excluding them from participation and resources. It affects not only everyday handling, but also institutions within our district. The specialist event offers the opportunity to address these structural challenges and find solutions together.
It is encouraging to see that both civil society and the district institutions take part in this round table and want to actively campaign for a district -critical district. By working together, we can ensure that our local institutions do justice to their democratic demands and enable everyone with racism experiences the same access to participation and resources.
As a citizen of Berlin, I encourage everyone who wants to commit to racism and equal opportunities to register for the event and to take part in this important dialogue. Only through our joint efforts can we make positive changes and create an inclusive and fair district.
