New forest playground and fairground in the Volkspark Jungfernheide opened

On Thursday, March 21, 2024, the forest playground and the fairground in the Volkspark Jungfernheide will be officially opened. Since 2019, the area of green spaces of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district as part of the project "Sustainable ecological upgrading of the Volkfark Jungfernheide natural area in Charlottenburg-Nord" has extensively renovated central areas of the park.

The new forest playground, which was particularly important to the environmental city councilor Oliver Schruoffeneger, consists of domestic robinia wood and is equipped with high -quality play equipment for children aged five to twelve. The adjacent fairground should serve as a rest and celebration area.

Registration for the opening will be accepted by March 15, 2024 at CW733600@charlottenburg-wilmersdorf.de. The project was funded as part of the Berlin program for sustainable development (Bene), with funds from the European Fund for Regional Development and the State of Berlin.

The forest playground in the Volkspark Jungfernheide is a welcome enrichment for children in the area who now have a new place to play and discover. The renovation of the park also contributes to the upgrading of the natural area and promoting the regional green infrastructure.

It can be assumed that the opening of the forest playground and fairground will encounter a positive response in the local community. Families and children will benefit from this newly designed leisure area and appreciate the green areas of the folk park even more.
