Free open-air concert-Berlin saxophone quartet on the Jagdschloss Grunewald
The Berlin Saxophone Quartet of the Musikschule City West will give an open-air concert on the Jagdschloss Grunewald (Hüttenweg 100) on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 4 p.m. The quartet will play pieces from the "Art of the Fugue" by Johann Sebastian Bach, music of the Renaissance and "Musique Pour Faire Plaisir" - a collection of compositions between entertaining classical, humorous contemporary music, jazz -influenced works and tangos. They are also known for their successful combination of these programs under the heading "Time Course", which is a musical journey from Renaissance to Baroque, classical music to modernity. Admission to this concert is free.
The Berlin Saxophone Quartet was founded in 1983 and is one of the leading European chamber music ensembles. They have released more than ten CDs and were represented in European television programs and in numerous radio programs in Europe and the USA.
The concert is organized as part of the Inn, outskin city. This initiative brings cultural events to unusual places outdoors and enables people to experience music and art in a new environment.
