International Day of Species Protection: Film & Talk #2030 shows 'Time to Say Goodbye'
On March 4, 2024, on the occasion of the international day of species protection, the documentary "Time to Say Goodbye" by Michel Abdollahi in the Delphi Lux cinema will be shown in Berlin. The filmmaker embarks on an adventurous journey to the "World Ice Bear Capital" Churchill in Canada, where rich adventurers can legally hunt on polar bears. After the film screening, a public discussion with Michel Abdollahi and the polar bear expert Dr. Florian Sicks, moderated by Lidia Perico.
The event is part of the film series "Film & Talk #2030" of the Education for Sustainable Development (SBNE) of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district. This series presents a diverse selection of films around the 17 sustainability goals of the United Nations every 1,1th Friday of the month. Following the films, spectators have the opportunity to discuss the respective topic with experts, filmmakers and other actors.
school classes also have the option of booking the films for a period of one month and specially adapted online versions for students: inside. The film series is carried out in cooperation with the Delphi Lux and the Berlin State Center for Political Education.
