Health partnership district Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf is extended

The youth and health department of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district and the AOK Nordost have recently extended their cooperation agreement "Health partnership district Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf". This partnership aims to build sustainable structures in proven fields of action of health promotion and prevention. The measures are based on the available data of regional health reporting and the resulting needs. The health partnership is based on the legal mandate for health promotion and prevention as well as on the socio-political responsibility of the cooperation partners.

The cooperation partners work together on the improvement of living conditions and the health of the citizens: inside of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district. Particular attention is paid to the reduction of socially related and gender -related inequality of health opportunities. As part of this cooperation, the AOK Nordost participates in the promotion of the “Fidelio” project of the Sport-Gesundheitpark Berlin e. V.

District City Councilor Detlef Wagner emphasized the importance of the cooperation and emphasized that the continuation of the cooperation with AOK Nordost was an important component to obtain the district's health goals. Kristin Montalbano, team leader for prevention topics at AOK Nordost, also emphasized the importance of the municipalities for prevention and health promotion and emphasized the importance of supporting the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district in his health strategy and the “Fidelio” project for obesity prevention.
