Voluntary judges: inside have a central role in court. Two of them are present as assessors at every negotiation. Their knowledge and life experience are included in the decisions of the chamber chairman, which means that the volunteer judges are involved in the judgments on an equal footing. This is more than just a job - it is an honorable responsibility!

In order to become a participant in the social court, you have to have some conditions: have your main residence in Berlin, be at least 25 years old and be entitled to vote in the House of Representatives. But be careful: civil servants, employees in the public service and maintenance of volunteers in public administration are excluded from this possibility. A re -election of the currently active voluntary judges: however, is possible.
