District Mayor Kirstin Bauch, together with the head of the district council, Judith Stückler, and the equal opportunities officer Katrin Lück, referred to the need to clearly name, discrimination and harassment in society.
"It is of enormous importance that we, as a society, stand against sexism. Nobody should feel insecure or harassed in public spaces or at work," said belly. Their commitment shows how important a clear attitude against discrimination is currently.
Judith Stückler added that sexism can occur in many forms - be it inappropriate comments or unwanted looks. It is crucial that society is sensitized to this everyday experience.
Katja Lück emphasized the role of traditional roles in everyday sexism: "When we tackle sexism together and make the problems visible, we contribute to creating a respectful and equal society."
With joining the alliance "Together against Sexism", the district office Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf not only demonstrates the commitment to equality, but also the desire for a safer public space for all citizens. The exhibition and the associated information are decisive tools in the fight against social inequalities.
