Charlottenburg celebrates 200.
In memory of the 200th anniversary of the death of Johann Christian Gottfried Dressel, the former pastor of Charlottenburg, a festival program takes place, which is organized by various organizations such as the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district office and the Luisen church community. The highlight of the program is the exhibition on Dressel's life and work, which will open on October 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the Luisenkirche. Historical views and plans by Charlottenburg as well as original manuscripts from Dressel are presented here.
The festival program also includes a themed gallery in the Charlottenburg town hall, a neighborhood walk through Alt-Charlottenburg with the district mayor Kirstin Bauch, a festival service in the Luisenkirche and various lectures in the viz in the Charlottenburg town hall. The events are open to the public and free of charge.
This festival program serves to honor Johann Christian Christian Gottfried Dressel, who has shaped the city of Charlottenburg sustainably.
