District commissioners call for humanity in a migration debate

The state working group of district representatives for participation and integration has demanded more humanity and objectivity in a statement on the current migration debate. The spokesman for the state working group, Cem Gömüsay and Fabian Nehring, expressed their concern about increasing populism and the aggravation of resentment in society. They emphasized the need to give a clear commitment to the German Immigration Society and called for a return to more humanity and objectivity in the debate.

The state working group has long observed a stricter social debate about the fundamental right to asylum, migration and the country of immigration Germany. They find that fears and resentments against migrants: inside and German are fueled with migration history to the center of society. Berlin is often used as a projection surface for the supposed grievances of a country of immigration.

In order to counteract right -wing populism in Germany, the state working group calls for a return to more humanity and objectivity in the debate as well as a clear commitment to the migration society. They emphasize that the structural problems of many municipalities and the lack of social infrastructure are not solely due to immigration. Rather, a social consensus is needed for a sufficiently equipped and financed public infrastructure from which all people in Germany benefit.

The statement by the state working group also includes a clear conviction of the increase in anti -Semitic crimes from all parts of society. They demand that anti -Semitism, racism and discrimination in an open migration society have to be clearly named and combated. Furthermore, they express their concern about the increasing everyday racism and discrimination against people with migration history in Germany.

In the opinion, the call of the #Handinhand alliance is supported against the right and emphasizes that all part of the fire wall are against right -wing extremism and racism.

The statement of the state working group is an important sign in the current social debate about migration and integration and urges to discuss with more humanity and objectivity in order to ensure open and respectful coexistence in the migration society.
