Die Kampagne „Baum sucht Grundstück zum Altwerden“ des Bezirksamts Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf hat begonnen und läuft bis Sonntag, den 1. September 2024. In der Vergangenheit wurden im Bezirk 1144 Bäume auf Privatgrundstücken durch Baumaßnahmen oder aus Gründen der Verkehrssicherheit gefällt. The campaign "Baum sucht Guchtskück to become old" of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district has started and runs until Sunday, September 1, 2024. In the past, 1144 trees were felled on private property due to construction measures or for reasons of traffic safety. With this campaign the district should become greener and more beautiful.

District City Councilor Oliver Schruoffenger emphasizes the importance of city trees for the climate and biodiversity. Trees are particularly important in times of heat summer because they offer protection against the sun and provide cooler air. In addition, trees are the living space and food source for numerous animal species.

interested property owners: inside, daycare centers, apartment owners' communities as well as housing associations and cooperatives can apply for the campaign. A total of 65 trees are provided, including accessories. The participants undertake to take care of the growth and care of the trees.

For the application, interested people must send the application form with the planned location to baumpartner@charlottenburg-wilmersdorf.de by September 1, 2024. The action applies as long as the stock lasts and the trees will be made available from the beginning of November.

It is important that such actions are supported due to the increasing importance of city trees for the city climate and biodiversity. Through the active participation of citizens: inside and organizations, the resilience of the climate is increased and the variety of species and habitats in the district increases.
