On Saturday, November 4, 2023, a tour along the memorial path will take place on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the path of memory in Berlin. The tour starts at 10 a.m. at the atonement christi church, where Pastor Maillard will welcome the participants and guests and will give an introduction to the topic. The tour will take about 3.5 hours and leads to various stations along the path of memory.
On the way to Heckerdamm, road and school names are explained, such as Poelchau, Witzleben and Heilmann. There will also be a short stop on the Paul-Hertz bust. In addition, Sabine Sieg from the German Resistance Memorial will explain the Mural "Remember Resistance 33-45-family Heilmann".
The arrival at the Catholic Memorial Church Maria Regina Martyrum, Heckerdamm 230, is planned for around 11 a.m. There Monsignor Dr. Hansjörg Günther and sister Mirjam welcome the participants. Then it goes to the Evangelical Memorial Church Plötzensee, Heckerdamm 226, in which there will be a guided tour of Pastor Maillard after a little break.
During the tour, Cornelia will also provide information about the then forced labor camp during the Nazi era at the memorial stele on Heckerdamm/Thater's private route during the Nazi era during the tour.
The arrival at the Plötzensee memorial, Hüttigpfad 16, is planned for around 1:15 p.m. There, Sabine Sieg from the German Resistance Memorial will provide further explanations. After the end of the tour there is the possibility to visit the exhibition in the Plötzensee memorial.

according to a report by www.berlin.de ,
In April 2018, the path of memory was inaugurated as a sign of memory of the resistance to the Nazi dictatorship. The path leads through the Paul Hertz settlement, in which almost all streets are named after women and men of resistance. The Plötzensee memorial and the neighboring churches have been committed to the culture of remembrance and resistance to the Nazi dictatorship for many years.
