On the night of September 13, 2025, an incident occurred on a bus on BVG line 150 on Blankenburger Straße in Niederschönhausen. At around 12:40 a.m., a group of passengers argued, which ended in a fight. The police were quickly notified and arrived at the scene, where around 20 people were gathered in front of the bus while some fled. The suspect responsible for using the irritant gas was found on site, but the spray device used was not found. Among those affected were a 30-year-old woman and her five-year-old son, who were taken to hospital for outpatient treatment. A seven-month-old baby and his 32-year-old mother received help on site.

The police have already identified two boys aged 14 and 16 as suspects who fled from the Ortolfstrasse/Anne-Frank-Strasse bus stop. In addition, a 13-year-old and the 46-year-old bus driver initially did not need any treatment, but the bus driver ended her job early.
