Cut the bus lane in Clayallee between Argentinian Allee and Riemeisterstrasse
The bus lane in Clayallee between Argentinian Allee and Riemeisterstrasse in Zehlendorf, which was taken out of prison due to residents' suits, is now finally lifted. The administrative court had decided a year ago that the conditions for the bus track were not met. The Senate Department for Transport announced on Thursday that a traffic law order would be issued to remove the crossed yellow markings on the road and the covered traffic signs.
The authority's decision to leave the markings and signage provisionally and poorly visible despite the court ruling led to dangerous situations in road traffic every day. Adrian Grasse, CDU politician and proponent of the lifting of the bus lane, expressed the decision. He emphasized that the old condition will be restored and the journey on Clayallee will be free again.
The residents had filed a lawsuit because after the bus lane was set up, traffic jams formed a day ago. The court ruled that the bus lane was illegal and could only be ordered with a special danger situation, but which did not exist. In its communication, the Senate Department emphasized that it was an individual decision when the bus track was. It has been shown that regular bus traffic could be no problem without its own trace.
