building type-e law: Construction industry hopes for a practical draft law
The construction industry in Germany is optimistic about the draft of the Record for a building type law that Federal Minister of Justice Marco Buschmann (FDP) sent to the Federal Government's departments. This draft has the potential to reduce construction costs and to boost housing construction, which is currently urgently required. In the past, the costs for construction projects increased continuously due to increasingly demanding technical construction specifications.
The construction industry supports the striving for the federal government to build what people in Germany want and can pay. The introduction of the building type E enables the (security-) technically necessary instead of only always technically absolutely feasible. This approach offers people more freedom and flexibility in their construction projects.
In order to ensure that the building type E works in practice, the agreements in the bourgeois code deviating from the recognized rules of the technology must be regulated and simplified. This is crucial to ensure smooth implementation.
The construction industry welcomes the initiative of Federal Minister Buschmann and asks the federal states to become active and to support the building type E with appropriate requirements in their state building regulations. The application of the law is facilitated and standardized by a uniform implementation at the state level.
The introduction of a practical draft law for building type E is an important step to boost German housing construction and at the same time reduce construction costs. This will enable people to build apartments that meet their needs and are affordable. The construction industry is confident that the planned measures will have positive effects on the entire community.
