Citizens' allowance in Saxony: rent increases are heavily burdened by families
In Germany, many citizens' fees live under financial pressure, especially in urban areas. The increasing housing costs demand considerable additional payments from those affected, which makes their life situation more difficult.
Berlin/Leipzig.
Financial burdens for civil allowance households
More than 13,000 households in Saxony, which are dependent on citizenship money, are forced to make additional payments for rent and heating costs. This number corresponds to about one of ten citizens' money households. On average, these households have to apply an additional 83 euros per month, which is even higher for families with children and is almost 102 euros.
significant differences in the costs
The financial burdens are not evenly distributed. Citizens' money households in cities such as Dresden and Leipzig have to make particularly high additional payments, with an average of 114 euros or 104 euros. In comparison, the additional payment in the district of Görlitz is the lowest of 59 euros. With almost 160 euros, Berlin has the highest monthly additional costs for citizens' money receivers.
unrealistic rent upper limits
For a long time, social associations have pointed out the unrealistic rental borders, which often do not match the regional conditions. These limits mean that many affected people have difficulty finding adequate and affordable accommodation. The resulting high co -payments mean a noticeable restriction in other areas of life such as food, clothing and education. The Left Party pointed out these grievances by emphasizing that those affected are often forced to save on minimal foods to cover their housing costs.
concerns about reviewing housing costs
The introduction of a waiting period has not led to an improvement in the situation. New households are initially received full support for their rent, without being checked, while long -term recipients who are increasingly under pressure continue to fall by the wayside. Especially single parents and caring relatives are affected here, which must accompany the difference from their standard rate, which is intended for fundamental needs. The politician Heidi Reichinnek has pointed out these grievances and demanded that the cost limits are raised so that apartments can actually be rented and heated appropriately.
The current situation illustrates how important it is to find realistic measures to support citizen benefit households that are increasingly faced with financial challenges. In times of rising living costs, a transparent and needs -based support proves to be essential to promote social justice and reduce disadvantages.
