In Berlin there were two violent incidents that made high waves in the past few days and made the capital's court halls a scene of dramatic processes. On December 23, 2024, the Berlin district court sentenced a 25-year-old to four years in prison for manslaughter. In June, the man attacked a 24-year-old with a knife in an apartment in the Wilmersdorf district as part of a dispute. Despite his alcoholic state, he stabbed the victim in the area of the keybow and twice in his back, which led to his immediate death, as rbb24 reported.
A few days earlier, on December 19, 2024, another incident in the Berlin Volkspark Friedrichshain became a dramatic process. A 28-year-old was attacked and life-threatening during a raveparty. A 37-year-old is accused of attempted murder because he stabbed the victim into the throat with a knife after trying to settle a dispute over a fallen glasses. The other two defendants, 27 and 20 years old, have to answer for dangerous bodily harm because they were involved in brutal assault.
