Attempted theft in Siemensstadt: man injured and arrested!

Nonnendammallee, Berlin, Deutschland - In Siemensstadt, a 47-year-old man was arrested yesterday after trying to steal from a van and injured a 53-year-old with a screwdriver. The incident occurred in a parking lot in Nonnendammallee around 1 p.m. when the 53-year-old returned to his vehicle and caught the perpetrator while searching the van.

After the suspect attacked the 53-year-old, he fled from the crime scene, but fell and injured himself. Alarmed police forces arrested these a short time later and confiscated a variety of tools, including screwdrivers, knives, a whipping ring and pepper spray. The 47-year-old was taken to the hospital to be treated before he came to police custody. Today he will appear before an investigative court where an arrest warrant is to be issued. The Criminal Police of Directorate 2 (West) has taken over the investigation.
